This is the question addressed by the Ocean Talents project. For this purpose, we take into account the entire educational path from school to university or vocational training to the direct further training of employees in companies: We are developing and testing new teaching materials for schools, we are developing an IHK certificate course, we are internationalizing the master's degree course in ship and ocean technology, and we are planning annual summer schools at the University of Rostock. We are also looking into the possibilities of a flexible exchange of specialists within the Ocean Technology Campus. In particular, the coordinated development involving all age, experience and training levels and paths illustrates the new and holistic approach to securing skilled labor.
